Who we are

Allcorn Architects is a full-service architectural firm led by Don Allcorn that provides thoughtful and responsive design solutions. Our passion for design, creative problem solving, and commitment to technical detail provide us with the tools to meet client goals and expectations. Throughout, we use a simple but effective approach to each project; listen and engage. Regardless of project size, listening to and engaging clients every step of a project is critical to understanding your goals and creating a successful project. Further, we believe size and budget don't have as much to do with what we make as architects as much as how we use what we have. We view project challenges as design opportunities. 

What we do

Specializing in fine Residential and Commercial Design, since 2002 Allcorn Architects has embraced projects ranging from additions and alterations to master planning. In lieu of relying on a single design aesthetic, our designs embrace a variety of styles, reflective of each Project's unique requirements and inspiration. With over a quarter century working professionally in architecture, coupled with a vast array of project experience, we are uniquely suited to custom tailor services and consultants to meet ever changing client needs. Our network of exceptional consultants allow us to assemble specialized teams that excel in problem solving and critical thinking, strengthening our commitment to the success of each project.  We will be your partner throughout the design and construction process.

Where

Allcorn Architects is proudly located near Highland Square in west Akron in a (almost) century home. From its vulcanized rubber roots to polymer-fueled research present, Akron has been Don's home since 1972. Featuring one of the country's greatest small grocers, west Akron also boasts a park system big enough to work off those delicious cooked meals. And yes, he takes full advantage of both.
